RE:  Policies and Procedures 

In regards to your inquiry of April 4, 2001 on the procedures of obtaining 
non-identifying and identifying information about individual adoptions, all 
inquiries should be directed to our President Judge. 

A petition should be prepared and filed with the Clerk of Orphans’ Court.  
The petition will then be sent to the Judge.  He will then contact the 
Orphans’ Court clerk and the intermediary to perform a search of the adoption 
records.  He will then review the files and contact the petitioner with his 
decision.
