Nancy Ann wore braces on her leg from a heriditary hip problem causing her R leg to toe-in. They were

introduce them too.
Where ever you are, you father loved you so he put you up for adoption. He is living with cancer and
would like to meet you.

Bill was born on August 16, 1947, at St. Vincent's Hospital for Unwed Mothers in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania. He was placed for adoption a short time after his birth. The agency that handled the
adoption was Catholic Social Services in Philadelphia. His final decree of adoption states that his name
at the time of his birth was "Joseph Nagle, aka Michael Nagle", and of course it was a closed adoption.
He was adopted by two wonderful people and grew up in Philadelphia. His father was a union plumber
and his mother was a homemaker. He had a great childhood but has always wondered about his birth
family and the circumstances surrounding his adoption. Through countless hours of research, several
appointments at Catholic Social Services and some little white lies, we have been able to gather some
information. His birth mother was a waitress in Philadelphia, Catholic and Italian who married when she
was sixteen years old. She gave birth to a daughter in 1944 or 1945 and named her Ann or Anna, which
happens to be the birth mother's name also. She was married to a press operator who worked at the
"Fleer" bubblegum factory in the Logan/Olney section of Philadelphia. He liked to drink and they had
money problems. In the winter of 1946, his birth mother became pregnant outside of the marriage. She
gave birth to a boy on August 16, 1947. She was nineteen years old. Very little information is known
about the birth father. After the birth of the baby boy, (Bill), the birth mother and husband attended
marriage counseling at Catholic Social Services for a short time to try and mend their marriage. His half
sister, Anna or Ann, was placed in a foster home around this same time period, she was later adopted by
her foster family. It is unknown as to whether or not her name has been changed. The counseling was to
no avail as they divorced a short time later in the city of Philadelphia. On Septmber 11, 1947, the
conceptual adoption papers were signed and on September 23, 1947, he was placed with his adoptive
parents. The adoption became final on January 10, 1949, in the Municipal Court of Philadelphia. Richard
T. McSorley was the lawyer and the name of the judge was "Winnet". As stated before, he was born with
the name of "Michael Nagle, also known as Joseph Nagle", at St. Vincent's Hospital for Unwed Mother's
in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on August 16, 1947. He is left handed, if that means anything, has dark
hair, dark eyes with an average build.

Replies: This b-mom, concerned about an inheiritable health condition and desiring reunion, contacted her agency and asked the info to be please passed along. The agency informed her that her son had died at age 24 of a heart attack. She learned this close to his 31st birthday.
